Jansen and Eva were married at their church (Covenant Bible-Presbyterian Church) with their reception at Dragon Palace Chinese Restaurant. Jansen and Eva are a special couple because I’ve known Jansen for years.. since he was in highschool in fact as we used to attend the same church. Just over a year ago I shot Jansen’s best man’s wedding (Avery) and this time it felt like hanging out with the same bunch just with the groomsmen trading places. Maybe I’m also starting to get along in age as I’m blown away that people who were teenagers when I met them are now getting married and having kids.
Life moves along so quickly…
After 5 years of wedding photography I still love hearing stories of how couples come together. It’s amazing when I hear how God weaves the paths in their lives. Jansen was born in Malaysia but lived most of his life in Australia. Eva was born in Hong Kong and when she was a teenager her family moved to Sydney and she grew up there. Eventually she became a dental hygenist and of all the dental surgeries she could have worked in she somehow ended up in Western Australia at a mining town. Friends introduced her to Covenant BP Church where she met Jansen and that choice has changed the course of her future. I think that’s amazing because it took a whole series of choices to bring Eva to Perth and it could have turned out so differently but now with each other they find they’re where they ought to be.
I know Jansen personally and he’s a good faithful man, surrounded by friends and family that love him so I have no doubt this union will be greatly blessed.
Here is a collection of my favourite images from their wedding. Enjoy!
